Ingredients
- ¼ cup fresh mixed berries such as raspberries, blackberries, or sliced strawberries
- 4 to 6 fresh basil leaves
- ½ lemon cut into wedges

- Optional: ½ teaspoon honey or simple syrup if your berries are tart
- Optional garnish: fresh basil and a few extra berries
Instructions
- Add the berries, basil, and lemon wedges to a cocktail shaker or sturdy glass.
- Gently muddle until the berries release their juice and the basil becomes fragrant. Avoid over-muddling the basil so it does not turn bitter.
- Fill a tall glass with ice. Pour in the berry mixture, including the juices.
- Top with chilled sparkling water and stir gently.
- Taste and add honey or simple syrup if you want a sweeter drink. Garnish with basil and a few berries.

- Use only raspberries for a brighter, more tart drink.
- Use blackberries for a deeper berry flavor.
